The American Military Museum is centrally located for residents
and tourists visiting downtown Charleston. It's in the Aquarium
Wharf area of town adjacent to the S.C. Aquarium and near
the debarkation area for people taking boat tours to historic
Fort Sumter.

Driving
directions
The American Military Museum is in the Aquarium Wharf next
to the SC Aquarium. Look for the Charleston IMAX and you'll
find us easily.
From Interstate 95:
Take I-26 East to Charleston. Exit at Meeting St. and follow
signs to "Aquarium." Pass Visitor Center on the
right. Proceed through the light at John and Meeting. Turn
left at next light which is Calhoun St. Proceed down Calhoun
St. through the lights at East Bay and at Washington Sts.
The parking garage is located on Calhoun St. between Washington
and Concord St. Turn left into the garage from Calhoun St.
From Interstate 26:
Take I-26 East to Charleston. Exit at Meeting St. and follow

right. Proceed through the light at John and Meeting. Turn
left at next light which is Calhoun St. Proceed down Calhoun

From points North on Highway 17:
Exit at Meeting St. and follow signs to "Aquarium."

at John and Meeting. Turn left at next light which is Calhoun
St. Proceed down Calhoun St. through the lights at East Bay
and at Washington Sts. The parking garage is located on Calhoun
St. between Washington and Concord St. Turn left into the
garage from Calhoun St.
From points South on Highway 17:
Take Calhoun St exit. This exit will merge with Lockwood Dr.
Follow Lockwood Dr. in the left lane to the light for Calhoun
St. Turn left at this light to reach Calhoun St. Proceed on
Calhoun St. through 10 stop lights.
Parking
Parking for the Museum is available in the Fountain Walk
public parking lot and garage on Concord St. on the east side
of the building. Handicap access is available from the garage
in this parking lot.
